allpay

Introduction

AllPay (NatWest Data Link) is a payment processor service. It has a database running on a single VM. There are also scheduled tasks that trigger every 5 minutes, to copy files to BAIS and the NDL Dashboard.

Management

The infrastructure is managed by platform operations.

As part of a public web service, users could be using the system on a 27x7x365 basis. However Monday to Friday, 8am to 6 pm are more typical service hours.

Patching

Azure Update Manager is used to apply updates to the VM and automatically reboot it outside of business hours.

Access to VMs

Platops Admin already have access to the server. Add HMCTS users to the group DTS RDS AllPay PROD to provide admin access. There is NO non-administrator connectivity. There is also a local user allpay_adm which is used to configure the application.

The Windows desktop can be reached via RDS from JBOX01-PROD

Backups

As a single VM, backup are very important. They are managed by a recovery services vault in Azure. These backups are taken daily at 8:00 AM and retained for 28 days. There is also have monthly backup job which is kept for 12 months.
