Onboarding

Use this section to onboard people and services to Common Platform.

  • Follow the numbered steps below if you need access to the non-live or live tenants.
  • Follow onboarding a service if you are adding a component to the platform.

Overview

The onboarding journey consists of the following steps:

  1. Generate Key Pairs - Create your GPG and SSH keys
  2. Request Access - Submit a PR with your public keys
  3. Get Approved - Wait for Platform Operations team review
  4. Decrypt Credentials - Unlock your new Azure password
  5. Azure Portal - Log in and configure MFA
  6. Obtain Secrets - Retrieve and decrypt your VPN and Authenticator secrets
  7. Configure Authenticator - Add your Authenticator App
  8. Configure VPN - Set up your VPN connection
  9. Configure DNS - Set up your DNS configuration
  10. Configure SSH - Add SSH for platform access
