This is a new service. Help us improve it by giving feedback.

Privacy notice

Nothing you type into this service is sent anywhere or stored by us.

Warning This is a prototype. Its forms do not submit, its sign-in is simulated, and no one receives what you enter. Do not use it to make a real access request.

What this service does with your information

Nothing leaves your browser. When you fill in a form, your answers are kept in your browser’s session storage so the check-answers page can show them back to you, and are discarded when you close the tab. See our cookies page for the detail.

Because no personal data is transmitted to us or retained by us, HMCTS does not process personal data through this service.

NEEDS SIGN-OFF — HMCTS Data Protection Officer. Two things to confirm: first, that the “no processing” position above is accepted; second, whether the departmental personal information charter should be linked from this page. This position holds only while the service has no backend — connecting any real identity provider or form handler makes this notice wrong and requires a rewrite, and probably a DPIA.

If you email us

If you email the marketplace team, we will have your email address and whatever you tell us. We use it only to answer you, and we handle it under HMCTS’s standard information handling policies rather than anything specific to this service.

Server logs

This service is published as static files on GitHub Pages. GitHub may record requests for those files, including IP addresses, as part of running its own infrastructure. That processing is GitHub’s, under its own terms, and is not something this service controls or has access to.

NEEDS SIGN-OFF. Confirm this description of GitHub Pages logging with whoever owns the hosting decision, and revisit it when the service moves to its service.gov.uk domain.

Your rights and how to complain

You have rights over personal data an organisation holds about you, including the right to ask what it holds and to ask for it to be corrected or erased. Since this service holds none, those rights have nothing to act on here.

If you think your data has been handled wrongly, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.
