Accessibility statement for the HMCTS API Marketplace

This statement applies to the HMCTS API Marketplace. It does not cover the API catalogue at hmcts.github.io/amp-catalog, which is a separate service with its own accessibility statement.

This service is run by HMCTS Digital and Technology Solutions. We want as many people as possible to be able to use it. That means you should be able to:

  • change colours, contrast levels and fonts
  • zoom in up to 400% without the text spilling off the screen
  • navigate the whole service using just a keyboard
  • navigate the whole service using speech recognition software
  • listen to the service using a screen reader

We have also tried to make the language as plain as possible, which is not always easy for a service about APIs.

How accessible this service is

NEEDS SIGN-OFF — accessibility lead. This service has not yet been formally assessed against WCAG 2.2 AA, so no compliance claim is made here. An automated axe check runs against every page on every change, but automated testing catches only part of the picture. Do not replace this paragraph with a compliance statement until an audit has actually been carried out — a statement claiming an untested conformance level is worse than one that admits the gap.

This service is in beta and under active development. We know of no accessibility problems in it at the time of writing, but it has not been independently tested.
